We've always done things our own way. GP Consult was formed in 2005 as an entrepreneurial start-up, built on the premise that staffing should be less about financial gain and corporate bottom lines, and more about real connections and meaningful impact.

Our Managing Director began his career as an industrial psychologist, advising businesses on how to effectively manage, train and upskill their existing personnel to keep them engaged. We've grown enormously and in many directions since then. Today we are a mission-driven organisation devoted to empowering people through the value of opportunity — we offer our best to put people to work.

GP Consult SA does not respond to a vacancy by sending CVs. We respond by engineering a workforce solution. Before a single candidate is sourced, we align with the client on scope, crew composition, productivity targets, supervision structure, tooling requirements and efficiency risks.

Every artisan passes through a structured 5-stage gate process before reaching your site. No stage is skipped. No exceptions are made. The employee only receives an LDC (Limited Duration Contract) once ALL stages are complete and they can present themselves as fully site-ready.

Interview Screening

Conducted jointly with the client where required. Behavioural and technical alignment assessed by GP Consult and the client together.

Criminal Screening

Verified background checks on every candidate. Zero tolerance for non-compliance. No candidate advances without a clean record.

Qualification Verification

Trade certificates and competency records verified against original documentation. No copied or unverified qualifications accepted.

Practical Competency Test

Conducted at GP Consult facilities using GPC facilitators, with client involvement. Real-world simulation testing — only proven performers advance.

Client Onboarding

Medicals, inductions and all site-specific client requirements completed in full before the LDC contract is issued.

Critical commercial rule: the employee receives their LDC contract only once ALL onboarding is complete and they can present themselves on-site. Onboarding cost is only payable once the candidate is fully deployable.
